The Award-winning Compact+ is a pocket-sized video magnifier designed to help with low vision. Simply place the hand-held Electronic Magnifier on a newspaper or magazine and the magnified image is displayed on the integrated screen. The Magnifier's camera is located in the centre of the vision aid so aiding positioning over the reading material. With the added benefit of a collapsible handgrip, the Compact+ can be used in the same way as a traditional handheld magnifier. The snapshot facility is useful for capturing images such as prices on a difficult to see shelf when out and about. The Compact+ can be used for writing as well as reading. When placed in the second position, leaning the unit so that it sits at an angle allows enough space below for effortless writing. The video magnifier has rechargeable batteries which allow for up to 2.5 hours of continuous use. Standard AA batteries can also be used. Supplied with a carrycase and wrist strap.
