Lighting
Lighting can be a very important vision aid and can be used in addition to the other aids listed above. Near vision can be helped by the use of task lamps with can be positioned to provide the most light. Fluorescent lamps can provide clear white light to aid vision.
Whilst in general more lighting can be helpful to the low vision patient for certain eye conditions excessive lighting can cause dazzle and glare and a reduction in lighting or more directional lighting can help to improve the ability to view objects. To view more details on the products available see the section on Lighting in the Product Pages.
