The task to be carried out must be moved underneath the camera to view. It can be helpful to do this in a regular method.
A helpful method is for the user to read the first line from left to right then go back to the start of this line before moving down to ensure they can keep track of progress, i.e. moving along and back and then down to the next line.
The contrast reversal option available with this device can also be an advantage to make vision easier for some people.

The full colour Solo electronic magnifier has a unique large integrated high brightness TFT screen. It can be used with batteries or mains supply so is portable and is lightweight. It comes with a built-in handwriting stand and the reading position can be optimised using the tiltable display screen. The Solo can also be used with the Prisma camera – see product order code VE0002 below for more information. A distance camera can also be purchased to further extend its capabilities – see product order code VE0015 below.

All smaller items (up to 7kg) are delivered for free in the UK using First Class post (Articles for the Blind) and are normally delivered in 1 to 3 days.

For larger items (such as desktop electronic magnifiers) a courier is used for delivery, which costs £10 to £20+VAT, depending on the size and weight. Delivery costs will be calculated during the checkout process before you enter any payment details

Overseas and trade deliveries are charged at cost, which will be calculated once you have entered your delivery address.
