How do I use this product?

CCTV

  • The task to be carried out must be moved underneath the camera to view.  It can be helpful to do this in a regular method.
  • A helpful method is for the user to read the first line from left to right then go back to the start of this line before moving down to ensure they can keep track of progress, i.e. moving along and back and then down to the next line. 
  • The contrast reversal option available with this device can also be an advantage to make vision easier for some people.

  • The RUBYTM is an easy to use handheld video magnifier and is particularly helpful for those who are unfamiliar with technology products but require a little more than a standard optical magnifier. The electronic magnifying device can be turned on with just one button.  The video magnifier is can then be placed over an object and the enlargement can be adjusted to suit your preference with the easy zoom button. The magnifying glass stays flat on the table, and the magnified image appears in the display window. With only one button, you can adjust the screen from full colour for viewing pictures to any of four high contrast text modes if you find this easier for reading text.

    The RubyTM Handheld electronic magnifier also has a convenient handle which can be flipped out so you can use the RUBYTM like a conventional magnifying glass - but see everything with enhanced contrast and no distortion.

    The electronic magnifying glass also has a Freeze Frame button to capture an image and bring it close for comfortable reading. 

All smaller items (up to 7kg) are delivered for free in the UK using First Class post (Articles for the Blind) and are normally delivered in 1 to 3 days.

For larger items (such as desktop electronic magnifiers) a courier is used for delivery, which costs £10 to £20+VAT, depending on the size and weight. Delivery costs will be calculated during the checkout process before you enter any payment details

Overseas and trade deliveries are charged at cost, which will be calculated once you have entered your delivery address.
