Low Vision Cocoons are comfortable and stylish contrast enhancing UV shield filter glasses with non-polarised lens tints designed specifically for those with low vision. The Cocoons frame design blocks damaging UV light and glare from all angles (top, bottom and sides) completely isolating the eyes in a cocoon of filtered light.The distortion free orange colour lenses enhance contrast by intensifying backgrounds to improve object definition and object clarity providing crystal clear optics and 100% protection from damaging UVA and UVB light. The orange tinted glasses with 34% light transmission can be worn over normal spectacles or independently and block 100% of blue light and all visible light up to 520nm.

The large size of this Pilot style frame 138mm x 48mm enables them to be easily worn over your normal prescription spectacles. The frames have integrated side shields which are precisely regulated to match the exact transmission rates and UV absorption curves of the front lenses to provide all round protection whilst maximising the light available to the eyes. Cocoons frames feature Flex2Fit® temples which allow the user to manually adjust the ear pieces to fit their own preferences providing improved comfort during extended wear.

The Cocoons Pilot frames provide enhanced visual perception and maximum protection from retinal damage that can be caused by long term exposure to ultra-violet light. Polar lenses are extremely durable and feature a chemically bonded scratch resistant hard coat to protect the lens surface from hazing that can reduce the quality of performance over time. Polar lenses feature a one year scratch resistance warranty. The black Ballistic Nylon^TM frames are coated in Soft Touch for maximum durability, and they feature a lifetime warranty

This product complies with European Directive 89/686CEE in accordance with Standard EN1836:2005+A1:2007 (sunglasses for general use). This product also complies with Standards ANSI Z80.3, AS/NZS 1067:2003

All smaller items (up to 7kg) are delivered for free in the UK using First Class post (Articles for the Blind) and are normally delivered in 1 to 3 days.

For larger items (such as desktop electronic magnifiers) a courier is used for delivery, which costs £10 to £20+VAT, depending on the size and weight. Delivery costs will be calculated during the checkout process before you enter any payment details

Overseas and trade deliveries are charged at cost, which will be calculated once you have entered your delivery address.
