Cocoons Sidekick eye shields in Orange Colour provide a flip-up UV shield which also features wrap around lenses. The frame clips easily over your prescription spectacles and in addition to the traditional UV protection offered by clip-on lenses Sidekicks also provide this protection at the sides and top giving 360^o of UV protection. The majority of light is now filtered through the UV absorptive filter or blocked by the brow bar. The Sidekick frame can be easily flipped up when inside and flipped down to provide maximum protection from UV and glare and to enhance contrast when outside. The medium size Sidekick frame is 138mm wide x 42mm high. The Orange colour filter maximises contrast enhancement and improves object definition and clarity giving a sharper, brighter appearance. It allows 34% of visible light to be transmitted through the lens, provides 100% UVA and UVB protection and blocks visible light up to 520nm. The Orange filter also blocks 100% of blue light which can cause glare, reduce contrast and can damage the retina.
