Binoculars

• Remove the protective covers from the eyepieces if supplied
• Setting the distance between the eyes
• Look at a distant object through the binoculars
• Move the left and right halves of the binoculars up and down until you have one rounded image.
• Focussing
• Look through the binoculars at the object you wish to see.
• Close your right eye and turn the focusing ring, located between the two eyepieces, until the image is clear.
• As the strength of the left and right eye varies in most people you can now compensate for this by turning the right eyepiece. To do this, close your left eye and turn the right eyepiece until the image is clear. 
• Both sides are now in focus and you will only need to use the centre focusing ring to focus on any object.
• Some binoculars have a single setting for they eyepieces. These are set by turning the left and right eyepiece.  Look first through one eyepiece and get the image clear. Then repeat the process with the other eyepiece.
• Spectacle Wearers
• If you wish to use the binoculars without removing your spectacles you can fold back the rubber eyepieces.
• After use replace the protective covers to prevent scratching or damage to the eyepieces if supplied
